About Tony

My name is Tony Fuentes and I am outdoor, travel, and photography enthusiast based out of the Reno-Tahoe area. I am a meteorologist and forecaster by profession over the past decade. This has allowed me to forecast tropical systems in Hawai'i and the Florida Keys, to snow storms and wildfires in the Sierra and everything in between.   

I have always held a fascination with the cosmos since I was young and being able to capture the night sky on photos is closest way to explore the stars without leaving Earth.  

Its quite rewarding to be able to share the scenes I have been able to photograph which often require solo trips into the desolation in the darkness of night.  Whether its holding your nerves while an unseen animal charges at you in the dark or trying to keep from taking a misstep off a cliff face, astrophotography has provide its fair share of adrenaline and reward.
